Monroe Police Seeking Help to Identify Armed Robbery Suspect

Monroe Police is asking the public to help identify a man in surveillance photos they say is responsible for a string of armed robberies.
Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office say the suspect is also responsible for an armed robbery  Tuesday afternoon.





Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Deputies say on Tuesday the Johnny's Pizza on Old Sterlington Road in Monroe was robbed at gunpoint.
Deputies say the suspect pointed a gun at the teller and demanded money from the register. He left with an unknown amount of cash.
 
8-15-12 at 8:15p.m., Monroe Police received a call in reference to a robbery at Dollar General,1313 Winnsboro Rd. An unidentified male walked into the store and produced a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect struck the cashier with the gun and fled the scene in an unknown direction, with an undetermined amount of money . The clerk suffered minor wounds to her head and was transported to a local hospital.

On 8-15-12 at 9:51 p.m., Monroe Police responded to an armed robbery at Johnny's Pizza, 801 So. 2nd Street. An unidentified male walked into the restaurant armed with a gun. The suspect pointed the gun at the cashier and demanded money. The suspect fled in an unknown direction with cash, checks and credit card receipts.

On 8-17-12 at 9:18 p.m., Monroe Police responded to an armed robery at Family Stop Foods, 1403 Orange St. An unidentified b/m walked into the store and produced a handgun, demanding money from the cashier. He fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Anyone that can identify and/or assist police in locating the suspect is asked to call Monroe Police at 329-2600 or Crime Stoppers at 388-2274.
