Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says an autopsy Friday morning confirmed the body found Thursday is that of Brittany Crenshaw.
Harrison County investigators say they were called after a utility worker found what he thought to be human remains in a wooded area north of Long Beach, Mississippi.
The remains were gathered and an autopsy was performed Friday. Hargrove says Forrest County detectives were able to provide dental records which positively identified the body as Crenshaw's.
Crenshaw was reported missing by her fiance, Benjamin Davis, August 17. He was arrested Wednesday on a homicide charge and now Forrest County, Harrison County, and Morehouse Parish investigators are working together on the case.
Crenshaw who previously lived in West Monroe and Bastrop, was 19-years-old and the mother of a one-year-old daughter.
