Suspect Shot by Warren, AR Police During Arrest Attempt

Arkansas State Police are investigating a shooting incident that happened Thursday night involving officers of the Warren Police Department.
At approximately 7:30 PM Sergeant Robbie Ashcraft and Patrolman Aaron Hines approached a local business property identified as, Abraham's Shop, where Davdrin Goffin, 29, of Warren was believed to be located.
Goffin was wanted by police in connection with an August 29th warrant for aggravated robbery. Goffin had also been identified as a suspect in the theft of two guns earlier Thursday afternoon.
The Warren officers witnessed Goffin outside the shop and approached the suspect. While attempting to handcuff Goffin, the suspect broke-free and was shot by one of the officers.
Goffin was transported to a local hospital before being moved to a Pine Bluff hospital later the same evening.
An investigation of the shooting incident is continuing today and will be submitted for review to the office of the Tenth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney.
