Vehicle Crashes Into Police Car in Monroe

MONROE -- Monroe Police worked an accident involving a police unit Friday night.
It happened around 8 o'clock Friday evening on Desiard Street in front Peking Restaurant at Highway 165 south.
Police tell us as a vehicle was turning, the car crashed into a Monroe police cruiser heading east on Desiard.
Firefighters and emergency crews were called to the scene.
Both the driver and police officer were taken to the hospital, but no serious injuries reported.
The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
