Eight Applicants for Louisiana Delta Chancellor Position

After conducting a national search, a total of eight candidates have applied to be the next chancellor of Louisiana Delta Community College (Delta). The search, which is being assisted by the American Association of Community College Trustees, will now proceed to the next stage, which will include additional reviews and screenings of the applicants.
"We are looking forward to the next steps in this process," said LCTCS President Joe D. May. "I'm confident that the best leader will emerge from this pool of very qualified and experienced applicants who will continue to build and guide Delta on the pathway to continued success."
While the application period concluded on November 2, applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled.
Initial interviews with the applicants will be conducted by the Internal Review Committee the week of November 26*. Finalists will then be invited to meet with the Delta search committee members for interviews and to participate in a series of public forums with Delta students, faculty and staff, along with community and business leaders on Wednesday December 5, 2012*. The System president will recommend the final candidate to the LCTCS Board of Supervisors at its board meeting on December 12, 2012*. The Chancellor will start on a date to be determined in 2013.

Dr. Barbara Hanson, Vice President for Learning, San Jacinto College District, TX
Dr. Thomas Rasco, Faculty, Walden University, MN and Former President, Texarkana College, TX
Dr. James Steven Rook, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, Rich Mountain Community College, AR
Dr. William Rule, Vice President for Student Affairs and Technology, Chattahoochee Technical College, GA
Dr. Jerry Ryan, Interim Chancellor, Louisiana Delta Community College, Monroe, LA
Dr. Debra Teachman, Vice President for Academic Affairs, New Mexico State University - Alamogordo, NM
