Man Dies After Being Shot Multiple Times in West Monroe

WEST MONROE -- A man is dead after he was shot multiple times at a home in West Monroe, according to Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office authorities.
Deputies were dispatched to a call of a shooting on the 100 block of Old Arkansas Road in West Monroe around 3 a.m. Sunday morning.
Officials say deputies arrived at the scene to find that a white male victim had been shot multiple times. Emergency personnel attempted to render aid to the victim but he died at the location.
Police say evidence indicated that the victim, Corey Hunter Todd, 34, of West Monroe and the suspect, Sean Michael Vines, 28, of West Monroe had been involved in a physical altercation at the Old Arkansas Road location.
Police say witness testimony confirms that Vines produced a handgun and shot the victim. He also pointed this handgun a two witnesses threatening them. In a statement from Vines, he indicated that he armed himself when the victim arrived. Vines and witnesses stated that this incident stems from Vines dating Todd's ex-girlfriend.
Sean Michael Vines was arrested and charged with one count of 2nd Degree Murder and two counts of Aggravated Assault. He was booked into OCC.

Why is this guy out of jail?? I seen him out mowing yards today, and I am furious to know that he is not spending much deserved time in PRISON!! So this community is just letting murderers run free. This man took a life of another man, a father of 2 young boys.
