Pitbull Remains in Veterinary Care

A pitbull seized in a cruelty case in Monroe last week remains in veterinary care.
Liberty is being cared for at Cooper Veterinary Hospital.
Liberty's foster mom says the dog is walking, though she's mainly putting weight on just one leg.
Liberty is also very emaciated but has now started to eat hard food.
Liberty was seized along with two other pitbulls from a house on Alabama street.
A witness told police that she was beaten with a boards and pipes.
Liberty may be released from her doctor's care later this week.
