Accent on Excellence Awards

Local educators were honored Wednesday morning at the Accent on Excellence breakfast at the Monroe Civic center.
Teachers of the year from the Ouachita Parish and Monroe City School Districts were honored, along with educators from ULM and Delta Community College.
We spoke with some of them who say it's always nice to see what they do is appreciated by the community.
State Representative Frank Hoffmann was the keynote speaker at the event.
