Burglary Suspect Arrested in Ouachita Parish

A Monroe man is facing several burglary charges after deputies say he is responsible for breaking into homes in two different neighborhoods.

Ouachita Parish Sheriff Deputies say Spencer Aucoin admitted to breaking into homes in and around the Treasure Island and Indian Lakes subdivisions.

They say he admitted to the break ins because he was trying to find drugs and that he has an addiction problem and needs help.

Deputies also recovered stolen prescription medication and a firearm while executing a search warrant for Aucoin's vehicle.
