OUACHITA PARISH -- A West Monroe woman is killed in a deadly motorcycle wreck.
Louisiana State Police responded to a two vehicle crash around 1:30 p.m. Saturday on Highway 616, west of Highway 617.
Connie Henery, 55, was driving a 2012 Tao motorcycle north on Dead Chapel Road. She made a right turn onto Highway 616 and lost control of the motorcycle. She then crossed the center line and was struck head on by a 2005 GMC Envoy, driven by 17-year old Christopher Dean, that was heading west the highway.
Henery was ejected from the motorcycle.
She was transported to Glenwood Regional Medical Center where she died. Henery was wearing a U.S. Department of Transportation approved helmet. Dean was properly restrained and did not report any injuries.
Police say impairment is not suspected. A toxicology sample was obtained and will be submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
