Good news for a member of BESE. The Louisiana Board of Ethics says his company can continue to do business with the state's labor department.
BESE member Jay Guillot of Ruston went to the ethics board about his company, Hunt, Guillot & Associates, participating in the Labor Department's Incumbent Worker Training Program.
A state law prevents BESE members from entering into any contracts with state government.
Guillot was initially told he was in violation of the law, but his lawyer argued for an exception and the ethics board agreed.
