Update: Tickets for the
record-breaking estimated $579 million jackpot were purchased in Arizona and Missouri.
The Powerball jackpot for Saturday resets to $40 million.
Wednesday:
If $500 million wasn't enough, tonight's Powerball jackpot has now grown to $550 million. The cash payout is worth $360 million.
As expected, ticket sales have push the jackpot to an even higher amount.
The biggest Powerball pot on record was worth $365 million in 2006.
The odds of pulling the six winning numbers are slim: one in 175 million.

The winning numbers were 5-23-16-22-29 and the Powerball was 6.
