Possible Human Remains Found in LaSalle Parish

LASALLE PARISH -- Last Wednesday morning, November 21, a hunter in Lasalle Parish reported that he had found what appeared to be parts of a human skeleton in a rural wooded area.
LaSalle Parish Sheriffs Detectives responded to the scene and gathered the remains and sent them to LSU Faces Labratory in Baton Rouge for analysis.
"We are hopeful that after the DNA tests are completed they will discover that the remains will match a missing person on file in the Central Louisiana area within the last 5 years" said Sheriff Scott Franklin.
The location is undisclosed and the investigation is still ongoing.
