NBC 10/Fox 14 News has a copy of a recording left at the Monroe City School District Building.

The recording picked up a conversation involving racial comments and the IQ's of the superintendent search committee members. Click the play button to hear that recording.

The caller identifies herself as Vickie Krutzer, a member of the Monroe City School Board. The recording goes silent, and after a minute you hear a conversation between an unidentified male and a woman believed to be Krutzer.

The unidentified person makes some unflattering comments about board member Glen Ludley and can be heard saying " Does any of those niggers have an IQ above 10" and "you'd be absurd to have McFarland in charge of anything".

The male is likely referring to the Superintendent Search Committee. Rodney McFarland is chairman of that committee. School Board President Verbon Muhammed and board member Mickey Traweek also serve on that committee.

NBC 10/Fox 14 News did reach out to Krutzer for a comment, but after conferring with an attorney she refused comment. Muhammed has also declined to give a statement.

NBC 10/Fox 14 News will be speaking to McFarland this afternoon to get his reaction to the recording.

Monroe City School Board Members will have an executive session Tuesday night to discuss a complaint of misconduct by an employee.

That meeting begins at 6p.
