Oak Grove Man Killed in Crash

An Oak Grove man was killed in a crash late Monday night in West Carroll Parish.
State Police say a 2006 Nissan Xterra, driven by 36-year-old Lewis Wells of Oak Grove, was traveling west on Louisiana Highway 2 when it traveled off the road to the right, struck a driveway then traveled over a fence before striking a tree.
Wells was not wearing a seat belt and suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Wells was pronounced dead at the scene by the West Carroll Parish Coroner's Office.
Impairment is suspected. A toxicology sample was obtained and will be submitted for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
