Monroe Chamber of Commerce Hosts Tax and Healthcare Workshop

The Monroe Chamber of Commerce will host a workshop Tuesday on the impact of the healthcare law and the Bush era tax cuts would have on local business.

Monroe Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, December 11 at the Monroe Civic Center.

The event, which begins at 11:00 a. m. and runs until 2:00 p.m.  will be held at the Monroe Civic Center on December 11.

It will feature William "Bill" Harrison, CPA, PFS, Partner with Heard, McElroy and Vestal, CPAs; John L. Luffey, Jr., Tax Attorney and; Thomas "Tommy" Hodge,   who will address 2012 Income Tax Planning and what to consider in 2013. In addition, Mr. Louis Breamer, President and CEO for St. Francis Medical Center will provide an update on changes in healthcare as Obama Care is implemented.  A boxed lunch will be provided for attendees.

The cost for the event is $20 per person and includes lunch. Application has been made to allow attendees completing the full course to receive 2.5 hours of CLE or 3 hours of CPEs. The cost for CPAs and Attorneys who would like to earn CLE/CPE credits is $45, which includes lunch and the workshop.
