MONROE -- The Downtown Rivermarket wrapped up it's first ever season in Monroe Saturday.

The last day for Rivermarket festivities took place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In the Rivermarket's first season, we saw tons of vendors, live music, and even Monroe's first flash mob.

Organizers say they have lots planned for their upcoming season next year.

"We're really excited about having a spring market, we'll definitely have more produce and that type of vendor," said Adrienne LaFrance with the Downtown Rivermarket.

The Rivermarket will open back up again on the first Saturday of April.

New additions will include a farmers market with fresh produce and more entertainment like live music and performances.

"We are very excited about the development of downtown and the things the market is going to spark. We've seen a lot of small business opportunities already happen, and a lot of people realize their dreams of having a small business," said LaFrance.
