Woman Attacked and Mugged in Monroe, Police Looking for Suspect

MONROE -- A woman is recovering after being attacked and mugged Saturday night in Monroe.
Monroe Police confirm the attack happened around 7 and 8 p.m. Saturday night off Tower drive between 18th and 19th streets.
Police say a woman, who's name has not been confirmed, was struck in the head with blunt object and was rushed to the emergency room at St. Francis Hospital.
The woman's condition is unknown at this time and the incident is still under investigation.
No arrests have been made and police say there were no witnesses that they know of.
Officials also tell us that the woman indicated the attacker to be a man and that she was missing some personal items.
Police currently have no leads and they need your help in this case.
