The Ouachita Parish Police Jury will send three items to voters this April.
Jurors are asking voters to choose a new constable for Ward 6 in the parish. Bobby Joe Graves is resigning from the position effective December 31, 2012. Until the special election, Randy Duke will take over the job.
Those in District 1 will also have to decide whether they want to pay a special tax for road lighting and maintenance. The tax would be five mils for ten years.
Finally the jury is asking parish voters to renew the existing health unit millage for ten more years. It is 0.75 mils and pays for building health units as well as rabies and animal control.
The special elections are set for April 6, 2013.
