Mother Facing Charges for Checking Son Out of School Illegally

Thursday Update:
Monroe Police are now charging a mother for checking her son out of school illegally.
Danielle Givens is charged with one count of Interfering with Child Custody. Givens has no custodial rights and checked out her son from school by forging the Step-Mothers' name. The teen was returned home Wednesday.
12:35 Update 12/19: Monroe Police say a missing 12-year-old has been returned by his mother to the police station. Police say the teen is unharmed. His mother, Danielle Givens, could face criminal charges.
The case is still under investigation.
Tuesday 12/18:
Monroe Police are trying to find a 12 year-old they say was checked out of school illegally by his biological mother.
On Monday police say the teen was checked out of school from Ouachita Parish Junior High by Danielle Nicole Givens, his biological mother.
Givens does not have any custodial rights for her son and police say she forged the name of the teen's step-mother at the school.
It's believe Givens lives in the New Orleans area and that's where she has taken Jackson.
Anyone having information about the teen or Danielle Nicole Givens is asked to contact the Monroe Police Department at 318-329-2600.
