West Monroe Police Chief Christopher Elg has turned down the offer to become the next police chief in Bismark, North Dakota.
Elg turned down the position last night. Elg is also a finalists for police chief in South Bend, Indiana and Bellingham, Washington.
Elg has been police chief in West Monroe since 2004.
