Fatal Crashes in Ouachita & Calhoun Counties

Arkansas State Police are investigating a pair of fatal crashes in Ouachita and Calhoun Counties.
Troopers say 18-year-old Thomas Ainsworth was driving on Hwy 79 when he drove up on the trailer of a 18-wheeler. He was taken to Ouachita County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
In Calhoun County, troopers say 17-year-old Mary Lee Book was driving west on Hwy 278 when she ran off the road, over corrected and ended up overturning her car in a ditch, and hitting a tree . Book was not wearing a set belt and was ejected and somehow her car rolled over her.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
