Interim West Monroe Police Chief to be Named Soon

We could learn as early as Wednesday who will take over on an interim basis as police chief for the West Monroe Police Department.
Chief Christopher Elg announced last week he was stepping down to take a position in Florida.
Elg, who was West Monroe's top cop since 2004, will take over in Tequesta, Florida on February 4.
West Monroe Mayor Dave Norris is expected to make the announcement, after alerting West Monroe City Council Members.
Elg will remain with the West Monroe Police Department until Saturday.
