Harrison was accused of capital murder in the death of 74-year-old Glenda Stroman in her Magnolia home last May.
Prosecutors did not pursue Harrison's other charges of residential burglary and theft of property as part of the plea agreement.
Harrison was sentenced to life in prison after entering his plea.
Life in prison is the maximum sentence for a first degree murder conviction.
