NBC NEWS -- Hostess is in talks with potential buyers to sell its bread brands.
The Wall Street Journal reports that flowers foods and bimbo are emerging as the top bidders for wonder bread and other hostess breads.
The company is trying to sell off its assets under bankruptcy-court oversight.
Hostess announced in November it was shutting down its business and selling its brands, which includes Twinkies, along with its 33 bakeries.
The company said a strike crippled its ability to maintain normal production.
