Applications Taken in South Arkansas for Energy Assistance Program

The Central Arkansas Development Council is having mass intake days across the state to collect applications for folks participating in their energy assistance program.
Wednesday afternoon at El Dorado's TAC House, more than 200 applicants showed up needing help with their Entergy bill or gas bill.
Officials say the program is a big help for families needing aid with utility expenses.
"I just had a lady tell me if anyone hasn't told you thank you, I want to tell you thank you because I didn't know how I was going to keep my lights on this month."
After today's mass intake day in Union County, applications will be accepted Monday through Wednesday from 8 to noon at the CADC El Dorado office.
