A new charter school will open its doors in August of 2013
for students in Concordia Parish.
The Department of Justice has approved The Delta Charter Group's request to turn the old Huntington school building into a charter school. The Ferriday school will hold grades K-12.
The school will be considered a Type 2 charter school. This means it will be completely separate from the Concordia Parish School System. The process to start the charter began in 2010.
