Madison Parish Hit Hard by Rains; Flood Waters Cover Much of Tallulah

Update: Tallulah Mayor Eddie Beckwith tells KTVE that three fourths of the city is covered by flood waters.
Mayor Beckwith says they have two drainage projects planned, but funding from FEMA has stalled the projects.
Since Tuesday, Madison Parish has received 6.5 inches of rain!
Madison Parish Schools closed early today due to the flooding that followed the heavy rains.
Update: Entergy says only 136 outages remain in Madison Parish.
Madison Parish is trying to dry out after a night and morning of steady and sometimes heavy rains.
Since Tuesday, Madison Parish has received 6.5 inches of rain!
