The El Dorado School Board met Monday night to discuss possible cuts to the district.
The district has lost 121 students this year causing the district to need to reduce its budget between 700 to 900 thousand dollars by eliminating 12 to 15 positions.
El Dorado's School Superintendent says the cuts could have a significant impact on students and teachers.
"You'll have more students in classrooms, you'll have more teachers teaching more than one or two subjects as a result of it so that will impact students because teachers are preparing for more than one or two classes."
The school board will have a month to review the cuts before the next meeting. The district will notify staff members by May 1st if their position will be eliminated for the 2013/2014 school year.
