Man Confesses to Stealing Car Batteries and Accessories

On 1-16-2013, Patton's Automotive Shop reported to the Union Parish Sheriff's Office that sometime during the night, two vehicles that were being stored at the shop for repairs had been burglarized and 12 automotive batteries had been taken from the premises.
 
Investigators with the Union Parish Sheriff's Office found that on the morning of 1-16-2013, 12 automotive batteries were sold by Bogle, who is on parole for burglary, to Louisiana Battery in West Monroe, La.  Investigators were also able to recover evidence at Patton's Automotive that connected Bogle to the vehicle burglaries.
 
On 1-17-2013, investigators interviewed Bogle and he admitted that he had committed the vehicle burglaries and thefts at Patton's Automotive and sold the batteries to Louisiana Battery.   Bogle also admitted that he had committed 13 vehicle burglaries that were reported by Patton's Automotive on 10-11-2012.  These vehicles were also been stored at the shop for repair and batteries, stereo equipment, and a handgun were stolen from the vehicles and premises.
 
Investigators recovered stereo equipment from Bogle that was stolen from the vehicles at Patton's Automotive Shop.   The investigation is continuing concerning Bogle's possible connection to other burglaries in the area.
 
On this same date, investigators arrested Justin M. Bogle, age 23, of Calhoun, La. for 15 counts of simple burglary and two counts of theft $0-$500. Bogle is being held at the Union Parish Detention Center.  A Bond has not been set at this time.
