Update: Monroe Police Investigating Abduction & Assault of ULM Student

Monday:
The Monroe Police Department is currently investigating a reported assault of an ULM student.
On Friday, an unidentified black male, claiming to have a gun, approached the black female victim on Northeast Drive. The suspect directed the female, on foot, to a location off campus where she was assaulted. The victim was then returned to campus, on foot, and was later taken to the hospital.
The suspect is described as being a black male having a medium complexion with a tattoo on the right side of his neck, as well as, on his hand. He is further described as being approximately 5'10" inches tall, medium build, and having puffy bags under his eyes and large lips. The suspect was said to be wearing a dirty green jacket.

They say the alleged incident happened Friday morning, when an unidentified student was abducted from the school campus near Hemphill Hall and taken off-campus, where the assault happened. Police say the victim was then returned to the campus, and later taken to the hospital.
The alleged abductor is described as a black male in his mid-to-late twenty's who is about six feet tall with short hair.
The suspect was last seen wearing a greenish brown hoodie with dark denim jeans and lace-up brown shoes. They also say he is said to have tattoos on the right side of his neck and right hand.
