MONROE -- On Sunday, Monroe Police arrest a man after he fires a shot at another man, following a dispute over a television.
According to the police affidavit, the victim said he got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend over a TV at her residence. When the victim left to go home, he was confronted by 29-year old Qualtario Walters, who stated he wanted to fight.
The report says the victim refused the fight, but Walters then pulled out a silver pistol from his pocket.
In the report, the victim tells police that he ran to his truck to get away -- that's when Walters fired a shot in his direction as he left the scene.
The report notes that a 5-month old infant was present at the time of the incident.
Walters was arrested and booked in OCC with charges of Aggravated Assault, Illegal Carrying of a Firearm, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.
His bond has been set at more than $15,000.
