The Monroe Chamber of Commerce is set to travel to Washington, Dc. on Tuesday to meet with members of the Louisiana Congressional Delegation.

The trip is the first of 2 the chamber travels to every year to discuss long term community projects. The group is also scheduled to meet with other federal government representatives to review and receive advisement on several area projects.

Chamber Executive Vice President David Hampton says they have to work in concert with the elected officials and their staff to see progress for the city.

The chamber will also meet with Senator David Vitter and Congressman John Fleming to discuss needed funding to complete the projects.
