MONROE -- After competing in 30 matches and taking home the top prize at the regional Vex Robotic competition, the Carroll High School Robotics Club is looking to raise thirty thousand dollars so they can travel to Anaheim, California for the world championship.

Made up of student athletes and members, the 10 students were chosen to participate in the club by their principal based on their leadership skills and classroom work.

Once just a box with over a million pieces; the students were required to attend building and programming workshops at Louisiana Tech.

The club was formed when Vex Robotics received a grant from NASA to train students in technology and science.

Contact Nyoka Freeman or Pat Schneider at Carroll High School if you're interested in donating to the Robotics Club.
