By: PAWS of NE Louisiana
Updated: January 30, 2013
The Krewe of PAWS Mardi Gras Pet Parade is the only parade in northeast Louisiana that is meant to "go to the dogs" and other pets. What a great way to start off your day of carnival festivities in the Monroe area! Come join us on Commerce Street as registration and children's games start at 11:00, contests for best (pet) costumes and floats start at noon, parade line-up starts at 1:00 and the parade rolls at 1:30. Special guests include the King & Queen of Janus and local celebrity judges.

Pre-registration has ended; however, registration is available at the event starting at 11:00 AM. Entry fees are $20 for the first pet and $5 for each additional pet. The proceeds of this fundraising event stay in our community and benefit PAWS of NELA and PAWS Spay/Neuter Services.

Parade Route:
The parade will start at the 100 block of Commerce Street in the "Antique Alley" area of West Monroe. It starts on Commerce Street and turns left onto Pine Street. The parade will then make a left on Trenton Street, make another left onto Wood Street, and then take a final left turning back onto Commerce Street. The parade will commence at the registration tent at 100 Commerce Street.
