Groundbreaking for Pecanland Drive I-20 Frontage Road Extension

Work will begin next week for the Pecanland Drive/I-20 frontage road extension project.
PROJECT DETAILS
Project Summary: The extension project will begin from Sparks Nissan-Kia and extend to Millhaven Road (LA 594). This project has been designed in cooperation with a LADOTD Priority Safety Project along Millhaven Road (to begin in the near future), that includes an east bound turn lane to the Martin Luther King, Jr. service road, signalized intersections for protected traffic movement, and improved rail crossing safety devices.
Contractor: Amethyst Construction, Inc.
Estimated Cost: $692,792 (paid for by I-20 Economic Development District)
Construction: February 11 projected start date
Estimated Project Time: 210 working days
