Police Name Person of Interest in Monroe Assault & Robbery Case

The Monroe Police Department is looking for a person of interest in connection with an assault and robbery.
It happened December 15 within Monroe city limits. The case involves the victim being hit in the head with a hammer. Investigators have received a warrant to get more information.
The person of interest is 35-year-old Mark Elijah Brown. He is a Monroe resident and has been contacted by police, but has failed to turn himself in to police. Anyone who may know Brown or where he is should call the Monroe Police Department at 329-2600 or Crimestoppers at 388-2274.
