Monroe Prepares for Mardi Gras Activities

The parade is just the center piece of this year's Mardi Gras activities.
The city will also host a variety of indoor celebrations during this weekend's activities.
At 10 am, Pecanland Mall will sponsor the 9th annual Jungle Gym/Krewe of Janus children's Mardi Gras parade.
Children up to ten years old are invited to walk, roll, or ride around center court along with the Krewe of Janus' king and queen.
In past years the carnival celebration has brought in great revenue to the city and Monroe officials are hoping this years events will have the same outcome.
JJ The Jungle Gym Elephant, Miss ULM - Amy Matherne, and Ace - the ULM Warhawk will all be in attendance in the children's parade.
