NEW ORLEANS -- Super Bowl 47 is now behind us, and the torch, or helmet, has already been passed to New Jersey.
East Rutherford's Met Life Stadium, home of the Giants and Jets, will host Super Bowl 48 next year.
Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal and New Jersey governor Chris Christie were at the ceremony this afternoon in New Orleans.
Mardi Gras masks and a Mardi Gras-themed football were some of the items passed between the New Orleans committee to their New Jersey counterparts.
Next year's game will be the first open-air super bowl to be played in a cold-weather climate.
