MPD to Hold Monthly Community Meetings

The Monroe police chief announces plans to hold monthly community meetings in order to get city residents more involved in reducing crime.
Chief Quentin Holmes invites folks in Monroe and surrounding areas to meet with him the first Tuesday of every month in 2013.
The location of the meetings will vary.
Chief Holmes says these meetings, along with a 12-week Citizens Police Academy, will help the public be more informed and more involved in community safety in the city. The meetings will also address seasonal topics.
