BESE President Traveling the State

The new president of BESE is taking his act on the road.
Chas Roemer, who represents District 6 on the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, is criss-crossing the state visiting schools to talk with students and teachers about their needs and concerns.
Roemer says these tours are a way to learn first hand what goes on in classrooms and what could be done to help.
Roemer says much work needs to be done to improve education in Louisiana and getting rid of what he calls the "used to committee."
