West Monroe Pastor To Begin Leadership In Knoxville, Tennessee

Pastor John and First Lady Donna Avant of the First Baptist Church in West Monroe were the special guests of honor Sunday afternoon in a farewell ceremony as they prepare to lead the first Baptist Concord Church of Knoxville, Tennessee.
During the ceremony folks enjoyed food a live band and slideshow presentations as Pastor and First Avant were recognized for their six years of service to the West Monroe community.
While under their leadership, folks say the church has undergone a great change with the establishment of new marriage counseling and a youth ministry program.
Pastor Avant says he and his family will forever be grateful for the time spent with the congregation.
The congregation says although they will miss the Avants, they extend well wishes as the couple travels east to bring love and dedication to the Knoxville, Tennessee community.
