Ouachita Parish Fire Department Fights Flames in North Monroe

Ouachita Parish fire fighters put out flames at a home off Sterlington Road Monday evening.
The fire started just after six o'clock on Shady Lane.
Fire investigators say everyone was able to make it out safely and the fire was put out quickly.
They believe the fire may have sparked in the laundry room and spread to the attic, but the cause is unknown.
