MONROE -- A Ouachita Parish Grand Jury will determine if charges will be filed against former Monroe City Engineer Sinyale Morrison for possible payroll fraud.
Assistant District Attorney Neal Johnson says the grand jury will meet at 9 a.m. on February 21.
This case dates back to an audit conducted in 2011 by the legislative auditor.
The audit suggested that Sinyale Morrison, may have violated state laws when she hired an employee and paid him for work he may not have actually done.
Louisiana State Police conducted the investigation and finished it up in September. The results of their investigation were given to the District Attorney Jerry Jones.
