Fire Cause Determined at Salvation Army Storage Unit in Monroe

Monroe fire investigators say a halogen light caused the accidental fire at the Salvation Army storage unit on Hart Street.
1:55 p.m.
Monroe Fire crews are on the scene of a fire at the Salvation Army storage unit on Hart Street.
The storage unit is used to store donations to the Salvation Army.
The main Salvation Army building was evacuated as a precaution.
Lt. Jerry Williams with the Salvation Army says the building that caught fire is the only one they have for storing donations. He says all donations are a total loss.
They'll need help with donations of clothes and household goods.
