Bastrop Woman Charged with Felony Theft

A Bastrop woman is accused of stealing just over $17,000 from a Monroe funeral home, a place where she worked since 2000.
According to the arrest report, Wanda Davis, started taking the money in 2004. The funeral home is located at 2932 Renwick Street.
Police say after a number of complaints on customer accounts, an audit was conducted and that's how the theft was determined.
Davis is charged with felony theft. She's out of jail on a $20,000.
