Town of Ferriday Secures New Company for Trash Pickups

The Town of Ferriday has secured a new company to pick up trash. The contract is with Delta Disposal and trash pickups began Thursday.
Unlike before with Waste Management, Ferriday residents will have to supply their own trash cans.
Areas south of Louisiana Avenue going towards Vidalia and Concordia Drive will be picked up on Thursdays, areas north of Louisiana Avenue going towards Clayton will be picked up on Fridays.
Ferriday's previous contract with Waste Management came to an end last week. The town owes Waste Management over $200,000.
