Shreveport Teacher Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Mentally Challenged Student

A Shreveport teacher is facing multiple charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a teenage girl at a school.
Jeremy Pierce was taken into custody Wednesday by Caddo Parish Sheriff's Deputies.
Pierce is accused of acting inappropriately with a student while he was a teacher at Port City Christian Academy on Greenwood Road.
Authorities say on numerous occasions Pierce called the victim out of class via text message and allegedly committed a sexual battery on her while on school grounds.
On another occasion, Pierce is also accused of committing a sexual battery on her while driving her home from school.
Pierce was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for aggravated rape, sexual battery and prohibited sexual conduct between educator and student.
His bond has been set at $750,000.
