Folks in Franklin Parish put their feet to the pavement on Saturday morning for their 9th annual Black History Parade.

Sponsored by the Franklin Parish Black Achievers Association, the city Winnsboro started their line up at 10 a-m for a theme based parade honoring our 44th President.

Folks of all ages filled the streets of Winnsboro to watch decorative floats and marching bands from the area in honor of black history month.

Along with the Winnsboro football team, Mr. and Miss teen were also on site this morning during the town's historic celebration.

Ending its parade route at Westside Park and Recreation center, folks were greeted by mayor Jackie Johnson and city officials during a bar b que cookout for all participants.

The fun ended with a community wide talent show.
