OUACHITA PARISH -- Louisiana State Police say a Monroe man was killed in a crash early Sunday morning. Troopers say the victim was not wearing a seat belt.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1996 Dodge Ram, driven by 38-year-old Kevin Little of Monroe, was traveling east on Louisiana Highway 136 when it ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected and traveled back onto the road crossing both lanes of travel. The Dodge then ran off the left side of the road where it overturned.

Little was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the Dodge. Little was pronounced dead at the scene by the Ouachita Parish Coroner's Office.

Alcohol use is unknown. A toxicology sample was obtained and will be submitted for analysis.

Troop F has investigated 6 fatal crashes which have resulted in 8 deaths so far this year.
